The service of rescue and fire safety support was established at the airline to organize and conduct emergency rescue and fire safety operations, rescue operations at the airport (airfield) and in the area responsible for search and rescue, fire safety at the airline facilities.
 

The Service is a structural unit of the airline and is under the administrative control of the management of the airline, which should provide organization, equipment, staffing, personnel training and the implementation of tasks and functions by the Service.
 

In its activities, the Service is guided by the Air Code of Ukraine, the Laws of Ukraine “On Emergency Rescue Services”, “On Fire Safety”, standards and recommended practices of the International Civil Aviation Organization. 

The service acts in accordance with the developed provision on the emergency and fire service for the enterprise, which is approved by the head of the airline and agrees with the relevant territorial body of the Emergencies Ministry of Ukraine.

 

The service is created at the airline. The structure and staffing of the Service is confirmed by the head of the airline, taking into account the requirements of the standard number of employees of the Service, in accordance with the assigned tasks, the aerodrome category by the level of fire protection required, as well as other features of this airline.

Professional selection for the positions of managers and personnel of the service is carried out taking into account special working conditions on the basis of the qualification requirements for relevant professions.
 

The SAS and POP service cooperate with the airport services to carry out emergency rescue and fire safety support tasks, with subdivisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ukraine on assistance and liquidation of consequences during the search and emergency and rescue operations. At the aerodrome, the SAS and POP services are equipped with fire-fighting and rescue equipment, flammable substances, and special rescue equipment in accordance with the 7th category of the level of necessary fire protection.
 

For emergency rescue and fire safety of flights in "International Airport Odessa" created emergency - rescue team, the main task of which is the rescue of passengers and crew members, valuable equipment and baggage, aircraft equipment. 

 

In order to consolidate the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of staff, training and education are conducted with the involvement of the State Service of Emergencies.
